As our environment artist, you will be responsible for translating real photo world reference, concept art and the blank spaces between them into fully realised game environments in Unity.

  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

  • Knowledge and understanding of producing in-game environment assets

  • Knowledge and understanding of lighting and composition principles

  • Able to make environment design decisions to enhance the overarching narrative

  • Able to interpret character interaction and game design into environment design

  • Ability to translate real world scenery reference into a stylised art style

  • Ability to manage your own time and work proactively

  • Able to adapt to new technologies and technical challenges

If you also have a grasp of camera language and character pathing to enhance the look and feel of an environment, that would be a bonus, but we won’t hold it against you if you don’t.


  • Experience of full game cycle development in a similar role

  • Experience of environment modelling and lighting

  • Experience of British scenery, art, culture and architecture

  • Experience of creating full interactive environment scenes

  • Experience with tools such as Maya, Photoshop, ZBrush

  • Work with our designers to identify environment requirements

  • Model, implement, composite and light environments based upon the vision for the game

  • Work with our artists to develop and refine the art style

  • Create, maintain and review workflows, tools and pipelines, leading by example

  • Maintain consistency of the art style throughout the entire game

  • Analyse, troubleshoot and solve environment related technical challenges
